The target audience for NME would be those interested in indie music or hip hop. This magazine covers a wide range of genres so it doesn't really single any group of people out. However, having said that it is consistent. For example it is not known for covering rock music. The audience of this magazine is the younger population, however there is no limit to the age of readers. This magazine is not just for one gender it can be read by both.
MixMag
The target audience of this magazine is for teenagers and above. As it is a magazine about electronic dance and clubbing music it is not appropriate for younger readers. It is mainly aimed at men but there are no restrictions to women reading and enjoying it.
